Multiple fire trucks and apparatus were called to a house fire on 37th Street S.W. near 21st Avenue just before 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Fire crews were called to a storage facility in the 9200 block of 40th Street S.E. just after 11 a.m. There was no fire but the man suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries.
Firefighters were able to quickly douse the blaze, which was contained to the single balcony.
A Wednesday night fire in the parking garage of a southwest condo complex left two people injured and prompted the evacuation of dozens of residents from the building. The fire was quickly doused and the hazardous materials team began monitoring the air quality in the building.
Emergency crews responded to the intersection of John Laurie Boulevard and Charleswood Drive N.W. at around 9:30 a.m. following reports of a collision involving an SUV and a truck. #Morethanfires
